HOSMER, Helen Ruby. – of Montrose, formerly of Perry, age 91, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, February 24, 2013. Funeral services will be held 11AM Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Pastor Phil Owen officiating. Burial will be in Rowley Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2-8PM and on Thursday from 10AM till the time of service. Contributions may be made to the New Covenant Free Methodist Ministries Swaziland Project.
Helen was born November 22, 1921 in Perry, MI to the late Roy and Anna (Grundy) Loree. She married Lional Hosmer on December 21, 1939; he preceded her in death after 63 wonderful years of marriage. Helen was a member of New Covenant Free Methodist Ministries. She enjoyed reading, gardening, genealogy, puzzles and singing about the Lord. She absolutely loved her family, serving others and was truly a woman of great faith. Helen always had a special place in her heart for everyone she came into contact with, especially helping the elderly. She was a wonderful sweet loving woman and will be greatly missed.
Surviving are: children, Robert Hosmer, James (Sylvia) Hosmer, Katherine (Michael) Denton; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; many cousins; nieces and nephews.Helen was preceded in death by: daughter, Patricia Nelson.
