HAMBEY, Kenneth Ray - Of Swartz Creek, age 63, died Sunday, April 29, 2012 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, May 4, 2012 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to the family.
Visitation 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Ken was born in Etowah, Alabama on January 18, 1949, moved to Michigan in 1953 and attended Atherton Schools. In 1966, Ken was hired into General Motors/Buick. In 1967, he married Connie Hancock. In 1968, he was drafted into the United States Army, discharged in 1970. After arriving back in Michigan, he resumed working at GM/Buick, until retirement. Ken and Connie had a happy life.
Surviving are children, Kenneth Hambey, Dawn Trevillian and Dee Dee Hambey;
Several grandchildren and great grandchildren;
Sister, Shirley and husband John Harvey;
Brother, James and wife Loretta Hambey;
several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Hambey, parents, Steven and Ollie Hambey, brother Roy Hambey, and grandson, Dustin Hambey.
