HOWARD, Jerry Allen – Of Swartz Creek, age 69, on Sunday, October 4, 2015 was welcomed into the arms of Jesus.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Lawrence A. Gill officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Visitation 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and 11 a.m.– 3 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Jerry was born in St. Louis, Missouri on June 30, 1946.
He was a proud member of the UA Local #370 Plumber and Pipefitters of Flint. He was also a member of Swartz Creek Church of the Nazarene.
Jerry was an extremely proud grandfather and loved spending time with his kids, grandkids and family.
He was a car enthusiast. Jerry loved working on cars, building car engines and going fast.
He also loved watching old Westerns with anyone who would enjoy them.
He loved talking to people and fishing on his boat.
One of the most treasured times and memories is coaching Little League with his son and friends and helping kids along their way.
Surviving Gladys Finch, close friend and mother of their children;
children, Trina Florence,
Kris Cabot,
Jeff and wife Autumn Howard;
grandchildren, Kayler Florence,
Nichole Howard,
Noelle Howard,
Jacob Howard, Mark Cabot II;
sister, Bonnie Gear;
many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and other family members.
He was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Corrine Howard; brothers, Larry Howard and Bobby Howard; grandson, Elijah Florence.
