Pamela was born in Flint, Michigan on December 8, 1953, the daughter of Douglas and Barbara (Ward) Summerfield. She married Duane Lampson on July 27, 1974, in Flint and just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Pam spent her career working in a medical office. She was a faithful member of Riverdale Baptist Church. Pam enjoyed cooking, decorating her home for the holidays, working outside, going on shopping trips, doing crafts, and could often be found behind the camera taking pictures. She loved taking pictures of nature, especially sunsets and fall colors. Together with her husband, they loved spending time at their cabin in Lake City and going boating. Pam was a humble breast cancer survivor for over 40 years. She was always concerned about others and put everyone’s needs before her own, always wanting to ensure that everyone was happy and taken care of. She loved spending time with her family, especially family gatherings. She cherished times spent with family and friends over the years, many memories of vacations, picnics at Flushing park, Sunday night after glows, life group, going out to dinner or staying in and playing games. She loved being around her children and was a dedicated and giving mother. Her greatest joy is her three grandchildren who she spent many hours with. She always had a special craft or treat for them. She loved reading to them, playing with them, having them over and of course buying things for them.
Pam is survived by her husband, Duane; son, Jeremy Lampson; daughter, Jenni and husband Dale Bayliff; grandchildren, Ruby, Leta, Owen; brother, Carl (Lauri) Summerfield; sister, Mary Hopkins; sisters-in-law, Debbie (Richard) Coats, Shelly Lewis; brother-in-law Scott Rheaume; Mark (Sally Clark) Hoeksema; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Douglas and Barbara Summerfield; parents-in-law, Richard and Arlene Lampson; sister, Paula Rheaume; brother, Michael Summerfield; brother-in-law, Doran Lampson.
We would like to extend a special thank you to the Neuro ICU and the Neuro team at Mclaren-Flint especially Kira and Carolin for their care.
