Baker, Louise of Flushing, age 85, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 7, 2015. She was at home with her family. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 10, 2015, at First Baptist Church of Flushing. Rev. Kenneth Sharp will officiate. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Rossell Funeral Home.
Louise was born in Hornersville, Missouri on November 25, 1929, the daughter of Elmer and Bertha (Yount) Bridwell. She moved to Flint after high school. Louise married Hugh Baker on September 12, 1953, and they were together for over 56 years. Louise was a member of First Baptist Church of Flushing for over 35 years, was an Awana helper for 14 years and served as a Deaconess for many years. She played on a volleyball league well into her late 50's. Louise was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to bake, garden and spend time with her family.
Louise is survived by her daughters, Paula Williams and Jill (Emmanuel) Haqq; sons, Scott (Earnestine) Baker and Mark (Kathy) Baker; 11 grandchildren, Shantel Williams, McKenzie Baker, Casey Baker, Naomi (Timothy) Arnudala, Jesse Haqq, Joanna (Josh) Mull, Rachael Haqq, Benjamin Baker, Brooke Baker, Eric Baker, Katie (Ryan) Cobb; three great-grandchildren, Jaylen Odneal, Sofia Amudala and Ishaan Amudala and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh; son, Hugh A. “Biff” Baker; sisters, Eula Bennett and Sylvia Oakes; brothers, Cecil and Ray Bridwell. |
