Lonny Ray Moore, age 74 of Swartz Creek, passed away peacefully at the Lodge of Durand on Tuesday, December 6, 2016. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 11am at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Durand Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, December 9, 2016 from 3pm to 8pm.
Lonny was born on March 3, 1942 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, to the late Jeremiah and Bernice (Stratton) Moore. Lonny spent 37 years working for General Motors as a fork truck driver. He enjoyed fishing and cars.
Lonny is survived by his children; Jason (Lindsay) Moore, Meredith (Justin) Speers, and Kimberly Gibson. His grandchildren; Skyler, Brycen, Mackenzie, and Draven. His siblings; Cleo Moore, Cloyce (Sue) Moore, Dave (Roxanne) Moore, Ed Moore, and Sarah (Randy) Floyd, also many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by both of his parents, his brother Jerry Moore and sisters, Alma Shaufler and Katherine Moore.
Memorial contributions in Lonny's name are suggested to Heart to Heart hospice.
