GORDON, Kathleen J. – of Clio, age 87, died peacefully on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at Hampton Manor in Montrose. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Monday, September 16, 2024, at Messiah Lutheran Church – 520 Butler St., in Clio. Pastor Erik Cloeter officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church on Sunday from 3PM until 8PM, and on Monday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Cremation will follow. Memorial contributions may be made to Messiah Lutheran Church, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Heart to Heart Hospice.


Kathleen was born on May 4, 1937, in Birch Run, Michigan, to the late Theodore and Thelma (Hobson) Kuehl. She graduated from Clio High School. Kathleen married Robert C. Kenny on May 21, 1958. Their marriage spanned 27 years and was blessed with three children. On March 7, 1986, Kathleen married Donald H. Gordon, and they shared many joyful years together until his passing on March 25, 2001. A devoted member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Clio, Kathleen played an active role in organizing funeral luncheons, accounting, and participating in crafting activities. She enjoyed clogging, traveling, and trips to the casino. In her younger years, Kathleen was a wonderful volleyball player and a devoted Cub Scout leader. Above all, Kathleen’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family and making treasured memories with her grandchildren. She truly enjoyed her life to the fullest and always had a smile on her face.


Surviving are: Daughter, Lisa (Mike) Paciorek; Son, Jeff (Lezlie) Kenny; Grandchildren: Michael (Destiny) Paciorek, Kyle Kenny (Anthony), Kody (Sara) Kenny, Konner (Kylie) Kenny, Kross (Reyana) Kenny, Tasha (Derrick) Hunt, Jessie (Casey) Lewis, and Naomi Kenny; Great grandchildren: Jalen, Maddie, William, Brynley, Cooper, and one baby girl due in October, Melody Joan; Former husband, Robert Kenny; Special friend, Rochelle Boyer; Several nieces and nephews. Kathleen was also preceded in death by: Son, Matthew Kenny; Sister, Marrianne Steelman.
