Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.

Mabel was born in Houghton, Michigan on June 17, 1923 and was a resident of Flint since 1945.
She married Claude H. Philpott on August 7, 1943 in Houghton, Michigan and he preceded her in death on June 3, 2014.
She was a member of Court Street United Methodist Church, member of the AC Retirees and member of UAW Local #651.
Mrs. Philpott was employed by AC Spark Plug Division for 32 years, retiring in 1983.
Surviving are sister-in-law, Mary Thirey of Whitmore Lake;
several nieces, nephews; many great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Raymond E. and William W. Thirey.
