HAMILTON, Margaret K. – Of Flint, age 83, died Sunday, June 15, 2014
at her residence.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Jim Pryor officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Those desiring may make contributions to the family.
Visitation 4-8 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and 4-8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Margaret was born in Princeton, West Virginia on July 3, 1930, the daughter of the late John and Eva Worley and was a resident of the Flint area most of her life.
She married Hunter Hamilton on August 31, 1951 in Princeton, West Virginia.
She was a member of Richfield Road United Brethren in Christ Church.
She was a huge Detroit Tiger fan and enjoyed watching the games with her grandsons.
Marge enjoyed her family every day, especially her five great-grandchildren. Many hours were spent with them sharing stories, laughter and hugs.
Mrs. Hamilton worked in customer service for years and some of her places of employment were The Salvation Army, The Fair Store, Yankees and Montgomery Ward’s Service Center.
Surviving are daughter, Katrina Lynn Smith;
grandsons, Tony (Lynn Ann) Smith,
Erik Wayne (Sherry Lynn Cary) Smith;
five great-grandchildren, Geoffrey Cary, Katelyn Clara Dunn, Brooklynn Taylor Smith, Jaiylynn Raye Smith and Jocelynn Marie Smith;
her younger brother, John Wesley (Martha) Worley;
her sister-in-law, Lois Hamilton;
many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hunter Hamilton on June 8, 2002.
