GOODING, Joyce M. - Of Davison, age 76, died Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at her residence.
Funeral service will be held 11am Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Gary Gearhart officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Visitation 4-8pm Sunday, 1-8pm Monday and 10am Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Contributions may be directed to College America for Jordan and Jaden’s college fund.
Joyce was born in Gladwin, Michigan on October 20, 1942, the daughter of the late Theodore and Marie (Dietrich) Wegner. On August 24, 1963, she married Douglas Gooding in Gladwin and he preceded her in death on January 7, 2019. Joyce worked at Dort Federal Credit Union for many years. She attended Faith Baptist Church and loved to sew and was a very skilled seamstress. Joyce loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are daughter, Laurie (Scott) Davis;
grandchildren, Joey, Justin, Jordan, and Jaden;
great-grandchildren, Aksel and Lillian;
siblings, James (Kay) Wegner, Karen (Larry) Flemion, and Ken (Deb) Wegner;
brother-in-law, Jeff (Rebecca) Gooding;
and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa.
