WHITE, Mary W. – of Flint, age 84, died Sunday, January 10, 2016 at McLaren of Flint. Funeral services will be held at 10AM Friday, January 15, 2016 at North End Baptist Church in Mt. Morris. Pastors Carl Petty and Ted Stephens officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Thursday from 2PM until 8PM and at the Church on Friday from 9AM until the time of service at 10AM. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Mary was born August 16, 1931 in Millport, Alabama to the late William Russell and Claudia Estelle (Porter) Springer. She resided in the Flint area most of her life. Mary married Alfred White on March 7, 1948 in Columbus, Mississippi. She was a member of North End Baptist Church in Mt. Morris. Mary loved singing at church and listening to gospel music. She was an absolutely wonderful mother. Surviving are: Husband of 67 years, Alfred White of Flint; Daughter, Barbara Gail and husband, Bruce Dickinson of Texas; 7 grandchildren; Many great-grandchildren. Mary was preceded in death by her beloved daughters: Claudia Jane Fairchild in 1999 and Mary Ann Abramczyk in 2007.
