JoAnn Marie Tilson
Age 83 of Owosso passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at her home.
Funeral services will be held 3pm Monday, June 17, 2024 at Nelson-House Funeral Home with Pastor Russ Merrill officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12pm until the time of service.
JoAnn was born June 29, 1940 in Owosso, the daughter of Joe and Ann (Deldin) Chrenko.
She graduated from Owosso High School and attended St. Paul School.
JoAnn was a member of the Eagles Club and was active with WFLA/ZCBJ. She enjoyed polka dancing, garage sales, gardening, playing bingo and trips to the casino.
She married Grover Lee Tilson in Owosso on August 6, 1960.
JoAnn worked through the years at Redmond's and Universal and retired from V.G.'s after 25 years of service from 1988-2013.
JoAnn is survived by her husband of 63 years Grover; children Denise Lawrence, Terri Ryon, Thomas Tilson and Ernie (Megan) Tilson; grandchildren Tim Lawrence, Andrew Lawrence, Taylor Gehrcke, Kayla Gehrcke, Bridget Ryon and Brooke Ryon; great-grandchildren Layla, Jozie, Rayna and Kora; her pride and joy, the cat Dexter; other loving family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents and son Joey Tilson.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Eagles Club, Owosso Lodge 851 or WOES Radio Station in Elsie.
