WILKERSON, Beverly June – Of Grand Blanc, age 84, passed away at her home on Friday, December 21, 2018.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Preacher Michael A. Golwitzer officiating.
Entombment at Crestwood Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to Medical Team Hospice.
Visitation 2-4 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, December 26, 2018 and 12 p.m. Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Beverly was the oldest child of Leonard and Violet Hilmer, born on June 12, 1934 in Oneonta, New York.
She was constantly active in her children’s school functions, baking and decorating, as well as organizing and modeling in the annual fashion show fundraiser. Once her children were grown, she became the first woman President of the Board of Directors at her winter home in Tucson, Wagon’s West. She was also a shuffleboard team champion there for two years. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels in Grand Blanc and was a faithful member of the Church of Christ.
Beverly is survived by her husband, Joseph Wilkerson. She was preceded in death by her son, Phillip Keener and her daughter Deborah Kraniak. She is also survived by daughters, Cheryl (Dan) Best, Diane (Ralph) Malear, son Darrin Keener, son-in-law Brian Kraniak, daughter-in-law Michele Keener, grandchildren Eric Best, Nicholas Best, Madison Kraniak, Alexis Kraniak, Daniel Noble, Jennifer Noble, Tyler (Shellby) Keener, Spenser Keener, Phil (Jessica) Keener, Stephanie Keener, Justin (Courtney) Keener, Shawn Keener and great grandchildren Jacob, Lennon, Payton, Logan, Justin Jr., Chloe, Abigail, Autumn and Ava.
