SWISHER, Arthur Leroy - Age 89, of Swartz Creek, passed away November 3, 2024. Funeral services will be held 11AM Friday, November 8, 2024 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Pastor Keith McKinnies will officiate. Burial will follow in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3-7 PM Thursday. Arthur was born September 24, 1935 in Charlotte, MI, the son of Ollen W. and Fern B. (Welch) Swisher. Arthur owned and operated General Automatic Vending and retired from Pepsi Co. He was an avid Harness Horse trainer in the area for over 40 years and enjoyed golfing. Following retirement, he and his wife, Laura wintered in Florida for 30 years. He is survived by his children, Lueanne Ragan, Cheryl Woodring, Gary (Kim) Swisher and Dyan (Patrick) Ricker; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sisters, Donna (Richard) Hubler and Bonnie Pace; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Laura; sons-in-law, Matthew Ragan and Scott Woodring; four bothers and a sister. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com |
