Brown, Robert K. of Flushing, age 82, died Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at Medilodge of Montrose. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 14, 2020, at Rossell Funeral Home. Cremation will follow the funeral services and interment will be at later date at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service at 11 a.m. If desired, donations can be made to support Dr. Christopher Lao's melanoma research at Michigan Medicine.
Robert was born in Flint, Michigan on November 6, 1937, the son of William and Arlene (Finn) Brown. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing. Robert was an artist who enjoyed watercolor painting.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Jean; children, Keith (Kate) Brown, Erin (Brad) Carnes; step-children, Kerry McFarlane, Linda Blakey, Kristy Marton; grandchildren, Thomas, Dylan, Nolan, Olivia, Emily (Scott), Jillian, Jayne; brother, Harold Brown; and nieces, Pam (Dawnell) Brown, and Paula (David) McMiller; and constant canine companion, Lucy. |
