BREWER, H. Dwayne – Of Flushing, age 79, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at home surrounded by his family.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Glad Tidings Tabernacle, 4475 Linden Road, Flint, Pastor Brian Oswald officiating.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to Glad Tidings Building Fund.
Visitation 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Mr. Brewer was born in Holla Bend, Arkansas on April 8, 1940, the son of the late Clyde D. and Marie (Kinder) Brewer.
On September 30, 1961 he married Carol June Winford at Deliverance Tabernacle.
He attended Glad Tidings Tabernacle for most of his life. He served as board member, Sunday School superintendent and Adult Sunday School Teacher.
Surviving are wife of 57 years, Carol;
daughter, Teresa (Doug) Shaffer;
son, Bobby (Becca) Brewer;
grandchildren, Nick Jaksa, Matthew (Krystal) Brewer, Mitchell Brewer, Tyler Jaksa and Mariah Brewer;
great-grandson, Riley Jaksa;
sisters, Helen (Bill) McGee and Betty (Kenneth) Cook;
sisters-in-law, Helen Brewer, Petie Brewer and Maxine Brewer;
many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Marie; nephew, Mark; brothers, Charles, Roland and Archie.
