Sklena, Eva - Age 96, of Flint , died Friday, November 6, 2015. Funeral services will be held 11AM, Tuesday, November 10, 2015, the United in Christ Lutheran Church, G-6330, Corunna Rd., Flint. Pastor Steve Stahlhut officiating. Burial to follow at Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be held 1PM-8PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek and 10 AM until time of service at the Church. Those desiring may make contributions to United in Christ Lutheran Church or to Home and Hospice Advantage. Eva was born in Obresch, Yugoslavia, on October 1, 1919 the daughter of the late Philipp and Magdalena (Federmann) Dautermann. Eva married Johann "John" Sklena on February 2, 1941 in Nikinci, Yugoslavia. She and John came to the United States on November 24, 1951. Mrs. Sklena enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing and retired from Mclaren- Flint in 1976. Surviving are: 3 daughters, M. Theresa (Al) McKee, Magdalena "Leni" Jennings, Eve (Norm) Brown; 7 grandchildren, Paul Mayers, David (Terri) Mayers, Bill Jennings, Charlie (Debra) Jennings, Alana (Gary) Crum, Alyssa Brown and Adam (Cathy) Brown; 11 great-grandchildren, Lani, Jonathon, Jacob, Haylee, Kora, Cody, Channing, Jazalynn, Adalyn, Breanna, Dylan and one on the way. She was also preceded in death by her son, Johann; daughter, Katharina; great-granddaughter Victoria and several siblings.
