ALBEE, Joyce A. (Hyde) – age 77, passed away on July 22, 2018 in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. with one hour visitation prior to Mass at St. Pius X Catholic Church – 3139 Hogarth Ave, Flint, MI 48532 with Fr. Anthony Strouse celebrating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2018 from 2-8 P.M. with a Rosary Service at 7 P.M. at Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W. Pierson Rd., Flushing. Joyce was born on June 28, 1941 in Flint, MI to the late Joe and Mary Hyde. She graduated from Mandeville High School in 1959, and went on to receive her Bachelors’ of Science from Western Michigan University in 1963. Joyce was a Home Economics teacher at Hamady High School in the Westwood Heights School District for 37 years, retiring in 2001 and a longtime member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Flint. In 1971, Joyce married the love of her life, Theodore Albee. Joyce loved their winter escapes to Florida, California, and to their condo in Hawaii. She especially enjoyed baking, cooking, sewing, and making quilts for those she loved. Joyce was a wonderful woman that will be deeply missed. She is survived by her husband, Theodore and daughter, Marci (Brian) Conlin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Mary Hyde; brother, Bill Hyde; and niece, Shannon Nielson.
