STANDEN (GIBBONS-LeMAY), Brenda Kay – Of Grand Blanc, age 54, passed away Friday, June 6, 2014 at Heartland Healthcare in Saginaw.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2014 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Deacon Kerry Gonser officiating.
Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation 7-9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Brenda was born, the youngest of three children, on April 3, 1960, in Kennett, Missouri, the daughter of George and Lorene (McCarley) Gibbons and was a resident of Grand Blanc since 1963.
Brenda was a graduate of Grand Blanc High School Class of 1978.
Surviving are spouse, David Standen;
children, Kristy (Jeremy) LeMay Erwin of Swartz Creek and
Marine Corporal Robert LeMay IV of Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri;
grandson, Walker J. Erwin;
sister, Yvonne (Ed) Hendriksen of Flushing;
brother, Tom (Shirley) Gibbons of Flint;
nephews, Jeff (Kathy) Humphrey and Rob Jackson, all of Flint;
aunt, Eulene Bridges of St. Louis, Missouri;
many cousins and friends.
Brenda was preceded in death by her mother in 1996 and father in 2010.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Heartland Healthcare Saginaw and the staff of University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, especially Dr. Benjamin Bly.
