RATZA, Robert Leon – of Otisville, MI, age 88, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass, with Military Honors, will be celebrated 11 AM Thursday, February 22, 2018 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 212 Center Street, Otisville, MI 48463; Fr. Ken Coughlin celebrant. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis Xavier Food Pantry, in Bob’s memory.
Bob was born in Millington, MI on December 7, 1929, son of the late Walter and Lucy (Mankowski) Ratza. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1948-1952. Bob retired from Consumers Power Company. He was a pilot and a member of the Civil Air Patrol.
Bob is survived by his wife, Pauline; 3 children, Christopher Ratza, Coreen Edgett and Robert (Sherry) Sever; 3 grandchildren, Nicholle, Jason and Jessica; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Francis “Dick” R. (Joyce) Ratza; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by 9 siblings.
