MILLER, Edward Michael "Red Man" -- Age 65, of Flint, died September 4, 2017 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 1 PM Friday, September 8 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 404 North Dayton Avenue, Davison. Fr. Robert Bacik celebrant. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Wednesday, and 12-3 PM and 5-8 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint. where a sharing service will take place at 7 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Visitation will also be held 12 PM until time of service at the church on Friday. In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the family.
Ed was born March 28, 1952 in Anaconda, Montana, the son of Edward and Dorothy Miller. His family moved to Flint, Michigan in 1965. He graduated from Flint Southwestern in 1970. He married Lana Multhaupt on September 28, 1974. Ed was a Pawn Broker for 40 years. He coached Basketball, Baseball and Softball for several years at St. Pius X Catholic School.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years Lana Miller; sons, Michael (Teresa) Miller, Matthew Miller; the 3 loves of his life, his buddies, grandsons, Maxwell, Michael and Murphy Miller; brother, Thomas Miller and John Kennedy of Rapid City, MI; sisters, Sally Kampen of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Sandy (Dennis) Kiegel of Springhill, FL; special nieces and nephews, Amy Warren, Lori (Rich) Blechinger, Lily and Kennedy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carol Hennessy; brother, Richard Markley.
