JONES-BANKS, Mrs. Deborah Jean-age 60, of Flint, passed away Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, July 6, 2016 with a 12:30 pm family hour at Sheldon T. Banks Funeral Chapel 3021 S. Dort Hwy., Flint, MI 48507. Pastor Kevin Dixon officiating. Calling hours for Mrs. Jones-Banks are 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Sheldon T. Banks Funeral Chapel.
Mrs. Deborah Jean Jones-Banks was born May 28, 1956 in Flint, MI the daughter of Louis Jones, Sr. and Earlene Franklin. She was a longtime resident of Flint. Deborah attended Flint Community Schools until she moved to Grand Rapids where she attended Grand Rapids Public Schools and continued to graduate from South High School. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Mt. Morris. Deborah had a generous heart and she loved to cook for her family.
Mrs. Deborah Jean Jones-Banks leaves to cherish her memory: husband, Collier Banks, Sr.; 3 sons, Louis Jahmal Jones, Karl Erwin Jones and Keion Juan Jones; step-chidren, Shelby (Tami) Banks, Collier (Kathy) Banks, Jr., Joan Gooden, Deborah Kincaid; grandchildren, Jahmal Jones, Karmaine Jones, Karmiyah, Aziyah Aviya; brother, Louis Jones, Jr. of Grand Rapids, MI and Maurice Bowdry; sisters, Carolyn McIntosh, Marilyn Brown both of Flint, MI, Hiqi Gill of Kalamazoo, MI; nephews, Carlton C. (Tami) McIntosh, Larrice (Helen) D. Pea, Ramon (Trulane) D. Pea, Jr. Antione Jones and many more; a host of nieces, Earlene McIntosh, Jackie (Javan) Pea-Miller, Yvette Jones, Nera Alli, Yolanda (Michael) Stewart, Tversa Jones, Tyra Brown, Michelle Woodard, Kimberley Barnes; several aunts, uncles and cousins; in-laws, Collier Banks, Sr. Family; many other relatives and friends, including special friends; Beverly Coleman and Evangelist Geneva Spears.
