PETTINGILL, Timothy – of Davison, age 83, passed away on October 31, 2024. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 11 AM Monday, November 11, 2024 at First Baptist Church of Clarkston, 5972 Paramus, Clarkston, MI 48346. Pastor Russ Reemtsma officiating.
Timothy was born on April 6, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Harold and Elvira (Gibbard) Pettingill. He married Grace Newcombe on September 28, 1964, in Waterford Township, Michigan. After dedicating 30 years of service at GM, he continued his career at Golling as a parts deliverer. Timothy was passionate about the outdoors, enjoying hunting and fishing, and he was an enthusiastic fan of all kinds of sports, especially the University of Michigan and the Detroit Lions. Known for his generosity, he was a devoted family man—loving, loyal, and a wonderful husband and grandfather. His warmth and kindness touched everyone around him.
Timothy is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Grace; sons: Tracy Scott (Traci) Pettingill and Timothy Mark (Crystal) Pettingill; grandchildren: Anthony (Alley), Alexis, Alyssa (Aaron), and Morgan; great grandchildren: Riddick, Melina, Braelyn, and Casen; siblings: Valerie Hunter and Shelley Hunter; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Harold C. Pettingill, Sheila Weber, and James Pettingill.
