FURZE, Sandra Lee “Sandy” – of Flint, age 72, passed away June 11, 2015 at home. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 5 PM, Monday, June 15, 2015 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Douglas Furze officiating. Visitation will be 1-5 PM Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Burton Kiwanis Club.

Sandy was born in Flint, MI on November 29, 1942, daughter of the late Eddie and Anna (Fuzi) Liquia. She married Harvey Furze on September 2, 1961 in Flint, Michigan. They had been married 54 years. Sandy enjoyed bingo, playing poker, loved up north, motorcycle trips, traveling, RV’ing and country music. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Sandy is survived by her husband, Harvey; children, Dawn, Todd ( Dee Dietz), Beth (Esther Cortez), Amy (Duane Pierson); grandchildren, Samantha (Jacob Daniels), Tyler (Treasure Boone), Kailey, Jake; sisters, Gerri (DeWayne) Bailey, Kathy (Howard) Allgood; brother-in-law, Thomas Taylor; several nieces and nephews; special extended family, the Boyers, Udells and LaPenes’. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Barb Varner, Ruth Taylor, Gloria Liquia, Donna Mae Brophy, Sandy Boyer; brother-in-law, Bud Furze; everybody’s grandpa, grandpa Charlie LaPenes.
