HUDKINS, Alta J. – Of Tampa, Florida, formerly of Flint, age 69, died Monday, January 7, 2019 at Tampa General Hospital.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, January 14, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Jerome Taylor officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Visitation 2-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Alta was born in Philippi, West Virginia on September 13, 1949.
She was a former member of Eastgate Baptist Church.
She moved to Michigan on December 25, 1954 and graduated from Atherton High School in 1967.
Alta worked for 10 years at a hospital in Flint and was a hairdresser for many years, before moving to Florida. She was a Paymaster at University Hospital in Tampa for 25 years.
Surviving are brother, Alan (Pat) Hudkins;
niece, Stacy and nephew, Heath.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Loretta Hudkins, on March 18, 2011; father, Dennis Hudkins, June 4, 1992 and mother, Virjean Hudkins on July 28, 1978.
