HEGGAN, Berneice J. – of Clio, age 79, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at McLaren of Flint. Funeral services will be 11AM Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Mt. Morris Community Church, G 7245 N. Center Rd., Mt. Morris. Pastor Eldon Busenitz officiating. Burial will be at Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Friday from 12-8PM. She will lie in state at the church on Saturday from 10AM until time of services at 11 AM. Contributions may be made to Mt. Morris Community Church.
Berneice was born September 3, 1933 in Flint to the late Waldo and Rena (Gibbs) Boyd. She lived in Clio most of her life. She married Russell Heggan on
September 6, 1952. Mrs. Heggan worked for H & R Block for 20 years. She was a member of Mt. Morris Community Church. She enjoyed her family, cooking and camping.
Surviving are: husband, Russell; 6 children, Sherri (Larry) Russell of Flushing, Kathy Otto of Mt. Morris, David (Debbie) Heggan of Clio, Linda (Kerry) Swanson of FL, Mark (Gayle) Heggan of TN, Jennifer Heggan (companion Gary Maroun) of Clio; 12 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Laverne (Lois) Boyd of Millington; sisters, Esther Perkins of Millington, Irene (Ron) Ledbetter of Davisburg, Sharon Livesy of Vassar; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Suzanne Lehr.
