WEST, Tealla "Sunshine" -- Age 72, of Fenton, formerly of Clio, died August 21, 2012. Funeral services will be 11 AM Friday, August 24 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, Mr. Gary West (her brother-in-law) officiating. Interment in Flint Memorial Park, Mt. Morris. Visitation 2-8 PM Thursday, 10 AM until time of funeral Friday. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association. Tealla was born July 17, 1940 in Curtis, Mississippi, the daughter of David and Mary Angeline (Howell)Morrow. She was a graduate of Mt. Morris High School. She had lived in the Clio and Montrose area most of her life. She married Herbert D. West on June 1, 1957; he preceded her in death October 29, 1986. Tealla had worked as a greeter at Meijer on Pierson Road for 25 years. She enjoyed needlepoint, crafts, gardening, and playing any kind of card games. Surviving are: four children, Angela and husband Dan Mercord of Fenton, Kenneth and wife Paula West of Burton, Nancy and husband Jim King of Flint, Todd and wife Loretta West of Burton; nine grandchildren, D.J., Garret, Austin, Lance, Darwin, Sheila, Doug, Zach, Kyle; sisters and brother, Ruth, Mac, and Jean. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four brothers, Danlee, David Jr. "D.J.", Grover, Jac; three sisters, Dolly, Ann, Zormaye.
