TACKABURY, Lola Fay (Benner) – of Clio, age 84, died Saturday, September 1, 2012 at her residence in the presence of her children, peacefully passing into the open arms of Jesus. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Larry Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4-9PM and on Tuesday from 10 AM until time of services at 11 AM. Memorials may be made to Cystic Fibrosis in honor of her grandson, Mason Gilbert.

Lola was born on February 28, 1928 in Flint to the late Lloyd and Agnes (Jones) Duke. Lola resided in the Clio area most of her life. She married Roy C. Benner on August 19, 1944. He preceded her in death in 1991. Roy and Lola shared 7 children, 2 were waiting to greet her in heaven, Carlyle and Romie. She then married Edward Tackabury on May 1, 1999. He preceded her in death on June 2, 2011. Lola was a member of Bray Road Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are: children, Linda (Allan) Lowell of Mt. Morris, Penny (Bruce) Boles of Las Vegas, NV, Ted (Pam) Benner of Clio, Sherrie (Kim) Zenker of Fairview, Teresa (Larry) Hatchel of Clio; sister, Lorena Baker of Harrison ; 38 grandchildren; 53 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; many other family.
