WILTON, Donald S. – of Davison, age 78, passed away May 12, 2011 at Brian's House Hospice. A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, May 16, 2011 at Richfield Church of the Nazarene, 7524 E. Mt. Morris Rd., Otisville, MI; Pastor Alan Duce officiating. A private burial will take place. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. On Monday, there will be one hour of visitation prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Richfield Church of the Nazarene or Brian's House Hospice.
Donald was born in Clawson, MI on November 6, 1932, son of the late Russell and Margaret (Burch) Wilton. He married Nadine Westfall on June 30, 1951. Donald was a former member of the Church of God in Fort Gratiot. He belonged to Richfield Church of the Nazarene where he was the ‘ice cream man’ for all church functions. Donald retired from London Farm Dairy in 1996 with 43 years of service. After retiring, Donald and Nadine ‘wintered’ in Florida. Donald was an avid fisherman, hunter, trapper and enjoyed gardening.
Donald is survived by Nadine, his wife of 60 years; children, Vicky (Dan) Jex, Diane Lewandowski and David Wilton; grandchildren, Michael Wilton, Todd (Erin) Jex, Marcus Lewandowski, Heather (Mike) Haseltine, Adreanne Wilton and Eliza Wilton; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Carol De St Aubin and brother, Dale Wilton. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
