Jacqueline Ann Dawes
Age 85 of New Lothrop passed away on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Tanglewood Assisted Living in Fenton.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, September 23, 2019 at McGeehan Funeral Homes New Lothrop Chapel. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 22nd from 2:00 to 6:00pm.
Jacqueline was born on March 13, 1934 to Lloyd and Leota (Wagner) Heidebreicht in Flint. She married Donald G. Dawes on August 23, 1952 in Angola, Indiana; they celebrated over 50 years of marriage before he predeceased her in 2003.
Jacqueline worked as a secretary for New Lothrop High School for many years before retiring. She was a member of the New Lothrop Historical Society and the Primetimers at First Baptist Church in Flushing. During her life, Jacqueline loved flying airplanes with her husband, volunteering at school activities, and spending time at the family cabin up north. She also enjoyed gardening and traveling. Above all, Jacqueline loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Jacqueline is survived by her children, Teri (Mark) Martin, Gregg (Barbara) Dawes, Kelly (David) Havrilla, and Tracey (Don) Brown her grandchildren, Jenn (Ryan) Otter, Shawn (Katie) Martin, Adam (Jeanette) Wilburn, Donny Dawes, and Greggory (Luke) Dawes, Bryan Brown, and Josh Brown; her great-grandchildren, Kaleb, Charlotte, and Rylan Otter, Ella, Tyler, and Rylee Martin, and Emma and Aidan Wilburn; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
She is predeceased by her husband, Donald Dawes; her parents; and her siblings, Lloyd, Doris, Phyllis, and Bill.
