BOWLES, Roderick James Jr. - Age 58, of Fenton/Linden, died April 8, 2012. Funeral services will be held 12 Noon Friday, April 13, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Rev. Donald Neuville will officiate. Visitation will be held 6-9 PM Thursday and 10 AM Friday until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Heart Association or Linden Presbyterian Church. Rod was born March 8, 1954 in Flint, the son of Roderick James and Irene C. (Stubblefield) Bowles. He was a 1972 graduate of Swartz Creek High School. Rod was well known in the area. He worked in the family business, Bowles Funeral Home, for many years, owned and operated Broadstreet Restaurant in Linden and later worked for Vic Canever Chevrolet in Fenton. Rod enjoyed golf and cooking. Surviving are: mother, Irene Bowles; sister, Barbara and husband Dennis O'Reilly; nephews, Bryan Page and Evan Scott; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
