RODAMMER, Arthur John, Jr., Age 85, of Burton, died Friday, October 12, 2012 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Thursday, October18, 2012 at the Hill Funeral Home, 11723 S. Saginaw St., Grand Blanc. Interment to follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm. Mr. Rodammer was born on December 6, 1926 in Flint son of Arthur J. & Clara (Steiner) Rodammer. Arthur served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and was part of the Japan occupation force. He was a member of American Legion Post #130 in Burton. He retired from Michigan bell in 1984 following 38 years of service. Arthur enjoyed flowers and bird watching but mostly he loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Janice (nee Kirkey), children Jill (Gary) Plagens of Rochester and Dana McGlone of Harrison Twp., and grandchildren Eric and Ellen Plagens. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Arthur was preceded in death by sisters Lucille Behrendt and Gloria Hunter, twin brother Del Rodammer and brother Daniel Rodammer.
