Richard (Dick) Cryderman, 81, of Clio, MI, passed away peacefully at his home after a lengthy battle with cancer on May 13, 2024, with his loving family by his side. Per his wishes a cremation will take place. Dick was born on May 26, 1942, in Flint, MI to Lorne & Mary Ella (Harris) Cryderman. Dick served in the United States Navy as a Fireman on USS Morton DD-948 serving during the Vietnam War. Dick was employed for 37 years by General Motors working at Fisher Body until they closed and retiring from Buick City. Dick will be remembered for his kindness. Dick was as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was loved by all who knew him. As an avid golfer he shared his love of golf with his family. He enjoyed shooting pool with his neighbor, Dave He loved singing karaoke, especially the song Elvira. Win or lose he loved cheering on his Tigers. As puzzle enthusiast, he completed hundreds of puzzles. Dick is survived by the love of his life, wife, Darlene. His beloved children Renee (Eric) Pattee, Richard (Jenna) Cryderman, Troy (Katie) O’Leary, Tracie O’Leary, Jodie Jablonski (Deb Freeman); grandchildren Drake (Abby), Julia, Ethan, Max, Ashley, Megan (Mike), Ryan, Amanda, Kenny, Chad, Aaron, Carson, Ava, Henry, Brookyn, Jonathon, Logan, and Dylan, & great grandchildren Benicio, Azalea, Landon, Kyrah, Ramsey, Hunter, Caleb, Madison, Lacy, and Iris. Siblings Garry (Barb) Cryderman, Rodney (Valerie) Cryderman, and Lorna (Mike) Gornicki. Dick was preceded in death by parents, Lorne & Mary Ella, his nephew Jason and great-grandson Ezra.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26th, at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI 48442. |
