Darren Slabchuck, age 44 of Durand, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2012 at his home. Cremation has taken place and a private service was held.
Darren was born on February 26, 1968 in Lansing, MI the son of Joseph and Audrey (Picotte) Slabchuck. Darren attended Flint Northern High School, graduating in 1986 and later earned his Associates Degree from Baker College. He served his country faithfully in the Army being honorably discharged after his service.
Darren is survived by 3 brothers: Marlin Slabchuck of Flint, Christopher Slabchuck of Flint, Jesse Slabchuck of New York; 4 sisters: Marchell (Robert) Weld of Durand, Martina Slabchuck of Ohio, Lisa Slabchuck of Grand Blanc, Katrina Slabchuck of Grand Blanc; sister-in-law,April Sieh; nieces and nephews: Robert Paul Weld, Andrew Slabchuck, Jason Blood, Angie Blood, Ivan Slabchuck, Brentt Slabchuck, Nichole Slabchuck and Joseph Slabchuck.
He was preceded in death by both parents, 4 brothers: Michael, Mark and Kerstan "Sam" Slabchuck and Mel Blood and a nephew, Stephen Slabchuck.
