BLAND, Sr., James E. “Bud” - Of Flint, age 78, passed from this life on Thursday, October 24, 2019.
Funeral service will be held at 12 noon Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Christian Apostolic Church, 6350 Fenton Road Flint, Pastor Bryan Spooner officiating.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
Visitation 1-8 p.m. Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Mr. Bland will be at the church from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service.
James was born in Louisville, Kentucky on February 28, 1941, the son of the late Ernest and Iva May (Blake) Bland.
Bud was a senior Elder of Christian Apostolic Church.
Mr. Bland was a retired journeyman electrician and was a member of Local #948 Electricians Union.
His life was lived with joy, love and Christ as the core.
He leaves behind, his wife of 58 years, Judith Spooner Bland;
sons, Jimmy (Patty), Billy and Ralph (Vicki);
daughter, Dorothy Rogers;
granddaughter, Kelly Hazel (Jason):
grandsons, Ben, Greg (Jennie), Brad, Justin, Collen (Megan) and Cody;
great-grandsons, Matthew Hazel, Nathaniel Dixon, Kellen and Spencer Ordways;
step-grandchildren and many step-great-grandchildren.
