EARLEY, James A. - Of Flushing, age 83, died Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Avalon Hospice.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 am Friday, December 21, 2012 at Saint Robert Bellarmine Church, 310 North Cherry Street, Flushing,

Reverend Father Roy Horning officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Diabetes Research and Wellness Foundation.

Visitation 2-4pm and 6-8pm Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. James will be at the church 10 am Friday until the time of the Mass. Cremation will take place following the Mass.

James was born in Flint on May 26, 1929, the son of Joseph and Metta (Hanson) Earley and was a resident of Flushing. He married Theresa Rau in Flint on April 23, 1949. James was employed by General Motors as a tinsmith. He was a member of St. Roberts Church and Vagabon Camping Club.

Surviving are wife, Theresa Earley;

sons, Dennis Earley and Vicky, Brian Earley and wife Kathie;

daughter, Marcia Passmore and husband Chris;

grandchildren, Courtney, Danielle, Bianca, Bryson, and Britney;

sister, Sharon Vincent and husband Mervin;

brother-in-law, Tom Rau and wife Elaine;

several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph and mother Metta (Hanson) and sister, Beverly Tremblay.
