AMRICH, Jerry Patrick – of Clio, age 60, died Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at his residence. Mass of Christian Burial in memory of Jerry will be held at 11AM Friday, June 5, 2015 at Saints Charles and Helena Catholic Church in Clio. Rev. Fr. Robert McGraw officiating. Cremation to follow. Friends may call at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4PM, 5-8PM and at the church on Friday from 10AM until time of Mass at 11AM. A vigil will be held at 7PM Thursday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to North End Soup Kitchen or the Old Newsboys.
Jerry was born October 15, 1954 in Flint to the late Frank and Marie (Lammers) Amrich. He lived in Clio the past 14 years. Jerry was a 1972 graduate of Flint Southwestern and then earned his BBA from Baker College. Jerry married Marsha Burtrum on November 3, 1990 in Clio. Mr. Amrich retired from General Motors in 2014 with 42 years seniority. He was attending Saints Charles and Helena Catholic Church and was a member of the UAW Local #598. Jerry enjoyed fishing, bowling, golfing, landscaping, gardening and spending time with his family.
Surviving are: wife, Marsha; children: Heidi Amrich of Flint, Buffy (Justin) Kish of Swartz Creek, Sara (Joseph) Massimino of Clio, Kathleen Amrich of Clio, Kenneth Amrich of Clio; 7 grandchildren; siblings: Thomas Amrich of Swartz Creek, Nancy Amrich of Flint, Cathy Nagy of Linden, Deborah (Bernard) Coughlin of Linden, James (Diane) Amrich of Grand Blanc, Cindy (Fred) Greenburg of AZ, Judy (Rick) Emberton of Flint; sister-in-law, Barb Stallberger of NY; brother-in-law, Jim Raleigh of WI; many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his 4 siblings: John, Bobbie, Frankie Raleigh and Carol Amrich.
