Andrea Rene' Pfeiffer was born in Flint to Charlene Pfeiffer and Alvin Waldrop on September 25, 1980.
She attended Bendle schools until she was 13 years old when she was tragically hit by car. Andrea was always so strong, she came home 3 months after her accident, but, in a vegetative state.
Before her injuries she enjoyed hanging out with friends, dancing, loved music, hanging out with boys (lol) and just being a normal teenager. She loved going camping and spending time with family and was close with all her cousins. She loved swimming, the beach and fireworks. She loved her sister and spent a lot of time caring for her when she was little. She loved animals. She never got her license but that didn't stop her from stealing her mom's car one night for a joy ride (lol). She loved cool ranch Doritos and the sourest dill pickles you could find. And let me tell you the morning breath after eating them the night before as teenagers, was horrid (lol). After her injuries, family began to care for her to help her parents. She attended GISD until she was 26. She couldn't physically do things she loved before but we made sure to continue to give her the most normal of things, including: camping, trips to the movies, taking her on walks, going to the splash pad (she smiled so big when the water would sprinkle from above over her), she loved sitting outside and feeling the breeze and the sun on her face. She loved the most basic of things like music, shower and pamper days, and company she loved hearing people talk around or to her (especially a man's voice), she loved hugs and kisses.
After her parents passed she moved in with her aunt Kelly and she took her and all her caregivers to Disney in Florida. She was able to go up north camping where we would go to the 4th of July parade, watch fireworks and walk the new handicap walkway to the beach.
Andrea may not have had the chance to have the life she should have had but one thing that remained, was so much love and care from people who loved her. No one that ever met her did not immediately love her. What she left behind was a bright spirit and energy and love to carry the rest of us through.
