Margaret Patricia “Pat” Stock, 92, of Lapeer, died Saturday June 29, 2019. She was born March 15, 1927 in Flint to parents Victor and Grace (Anderson) Goyette.
Raised in the Flint area, Pat graduated from St. Michael’s Catholic School. She was a kind of trail blazer for her generation; as a young, single woman, she enjoyed traveling with friends and relatives, she was especially fond of a trip to Europe. The young Miss Goyette worked for General Motors, until meeting and starting a family with Mr. J. Paul Stock. They were married September 20, 1958 in Flint. Pat & Paul lived and worked on their family dairy farm. She loved her family and will be missed.
Mrs. Stock is survived by her children: Marypat (Craig) Johnson of IL; John (Kathryn) Stock of Lapeer, grandchildren: John Paul (Jeri) Stock, III; Amber Johnson; Anna (Chris) Deane; Katie Johnson, great-grandchildren: Wynter; Valice; Jadyn; John Paul, IV as well as in-laws: Catherine Stock and Ben Kowalcyk. Pat was preceded in death by her husband: J. Paul, x3 sisters, x2 brothers and her parents.
Mrs. Stock’s visitation will be 4:-00-8:00pm Tuesday at Muir Brothers Funeral Home, Lapeer, with a Rosary prayer at 7:00pm. Her funeral mass will be 11:00am Wednesday July 3, 2019 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Davison. The family will receive friends the hour prior to mass, at the church. Burial will conclude services in Mt. Loretto Cemetery, Lapeer.
