POLATE, Clark L. – of Flint, age 82, passed away March 28, 2020 at U of M Hospital, Ann Arbor. Cremation has taken place. A private service will be held at a later date.
Clark was born in Detroit, MI on June 10, 1937, son of the late Steve and Alice (Dolgy) Polate. He married Margaret Ruth Dickie on April 23, 1960 and she preceded him in death on June 2, 2018. Clark loved camping, going up north and trips to Las Vegas. Clark worked for General Motors retiring in 1997 after 42 years of service. He enjoyed the grand kids and great-grand kids. Clark was the man who helped everyone, supported all family activities, and loved everyone calling him “PAPA.”
Clark is survived by his daughters, Sally Polate and Christine Polate; grandchildren, Alyssa Redden and Kiri Wright; great-grandchildren, Samara, Jaxson and Amari; many nieces and nephews.
