LAKE, Beatrice J. – of Montrose, age 79, died Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at Medilodge of Frankenmuth. Funeral services will be held 11AM Saturday, September 24, 2016 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Pastor Dan Shinabarger officiating. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 11AM until 8PM and Saturday from 9AM until the time of service at 11AM. Burial will be in Trout Lake Cemetery at 12PM Monday, September 26, 2016.
Beatrice was born January 16, 1937 in Camden, Michigan to the late Byrl and Lattie (Smith) Havens. She was a resident of Montrose and Trout Lake for many years. Beatrice married Harvey Lake on May 7, 1955. He preceded her in death on September 2, 2008. She was a member of Montrose Weslyan Church. Beatrice enjoyed being an artist and singing.
Surviving are: Children: Ruth (Cliff) Wilhelm of Oakley, Eddie Lake of Clio, Arnold Lake of Montrose, Douglas (Vickie) Lake of Montrose, Oramel Lake of Montrose; Daughter in law, Laurie Lake; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; Several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by: Son, John Lake; 4 siblings: Elsie Mincy, Leola Moore, Betty Wilmont and Harold Havens; Stepmother, Orpha Havens; Brother in law, Bernard “Chet” Lake; Daughters in law: Tammy Lake and Deb Lake.
