Carol was born in St. Joseph, MI on February 6, 1947, daughter of the late Otto and Lucille (Pagel) Radies. She was a graduate of Lakeshore Senior High School, Stevensville, MI, Class of 1965. Carol's life was marked by her love for her family and friends. She grew up attending Zion Evangelical Church in St. Joseph, MI. Her journey through life was characterized by her humor (sometimes sarcasm) and passion to help others. She made history as the first female mail carrier in Oxford, MI, a role she approached with pride and diligence. Her career also included roles as a classroom and bus aide for the Genesee Intermediate School District, a medical office assistant, and providing compassionate private care in both homes and group homes. Carol’s love for her family was boundless. She treasured every moment spent with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her passions extended beyond her family. Carol was an enthusiastic bowler, enjoyed ceramics, and was a faithful watcher of game shows. She also enjoyed spending time with her dog, Casey, who brought her great joy. Carol's memory will forever remain in our hearts, and her legacy of kindness, love, and humor will continue to inspire us all.
Carol is survived by her daughter, Michelle (Robert) Davis; 2 granddaughters, Lauren (Ryan) Morey and Allison Davis; 2 great-grandchildren, Easton and McKinley; canine companion, Casey; great-grandpuppy, Murphy; brother, Steven (Gabriele) Radies; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Lucille Radies.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to Carol’s caregivers, Julie, Angie, Jennifer, and Chris, for their unwavering support and kindness. Special thanks are also due to Reformation Home Health, LLC, particularly Craig and Tarmara, and the Medical Team Hospice staff, especially Jennifer, for their compassionate and professional care of Carol.
