SEDLARIK, Bessie Margaret - age 91, of Swartz Creek, died Friday, August 16, 2013 at Living Joy Memory Assisted Living. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 4413 Morrish Rd, Swartz Creek with Fr. Dan Kogut celebrant. Interment will follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-9 PM Monday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek where a scripture service will be held at 7 PM Monday. Visitation will also be held from 10 AM until the time of service Tuesday at the church. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Mrs. Sedlarik was born September 16, 1921 in Lennon, the daughter of Louis and Clara (Batit) Konecny. She married Charles Sedlarik on September 21, 1940 in Owosso and he preceded her in death on January 6, 1972. Mrs. Sedlarik retired from General Motors in 1983. She was a member of St. Mary Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Bessie loved to travel and dance. Surviving are: three children, Jim (Kathy) Sedlarik of Flint, Pat (John) Gillette of Swartz Creek, Trevor (Debby) Lennon of FL; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Theresa Matula of St. Charles and Helen Fabus of Elsie. The family extends a special thank you to the staff of Woodhaven and staff of Living Joy for their loving care to Bessie. Her parents and several sisters also preceded her in death.
