HAFFAJEE, Dr. Musa Suleman - Age 75, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014. A memorial service will be held 1 PM Saturday, Janaury 25, 2014 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. The family will recieve friends from 3-8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Burial, according to Islamic funeral rites, has already taken place at Sunset Hills Cemetery. Musa was born in South Africa the youngest of 8 children to Eva and Suleman Haffajee on October 19, 1938. He married Bonnie (Furse) June 24, 1973. He is loved by his children Ameena (Scott) and Adam (Nina). He is referred to affectionately by his grandchildren; Marcella, Annie, Eriksen, Phillip, Kai, and Carson as Bop. He will be missed by his nieces and nephews with whom he shared some of his favorite past times; golfing, fishing and taking vacations. Anyone who knew him knows he could always be found with a cup of hot tea. As the Medical Director of the McLaren Wound and Hyperbaric Center he devoted the last 12 years of his medical career to treating patients with wounds. He was surrounded by a staff that always made him smile. Throughout his career he touched so many lives through medicine. His caring and compassion extended from his work to his friends and of course his treasured family. The family asks that in lieu of flowers that you make a donation to Hurley Hospital Burn Unit or McLaren Hospitality House Fund.
