FOUST, Lucy - Of Grand Blanc, age 87, died Monday, August 5, 2019 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
Funeral service will be held 3pm Thursday, August 8, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Charles Peck officiating.
Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
Contributions may be directed to American Bible Society.
Visitation 1pm Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Lucy was born in Lake Odessa, Michigan on August 4, 1932, the daughter of the late Elmer and Laura (Black) Shellenbarger. On September 18, 1982, she married Raymond Foust and he preceded her in death on May 5, 2018. Lucy was employed in the Treasury Department with the State of Michigan. She attended Point of Grace Church and was a longtime member of New Hope Worship Center and West Flint Church of God. Lucy was a people person and played the piano and sang at church.
Surviving are children, Michael (Brenda) Rathbun, Janine (Michael) Wheat, Mark (Toni) Rathbun, and Rebecca (Darin) Bolinger;
Grandchildren, Andrea (Chris), Paul (Sonya), Jonathan (Kira), Laura (Steve), Michaela, Joshua (Sadie), Jacob (Caroline), Kameron (Kayla), Brittani, Isaac (Alexandria), Rachael (Matthew), Thomas, Robin (Buddy), Jerry Lee, and Jeff;
20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson, Caleb;
Sister, Janet Mouser;
Special nephew, Eric Mouser;
Several friends, Judi Sanders, Ruth Shasteen and David Hill.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Louise Pennington and Lenore Peirce, brother, Donald Shellenbarger and great-great-grandson, Matthew
