KAUFMAN, John Michael – of Davison, MI, age 70, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2019. A Funeral Service, with Military Honors, will be held 12 PM Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423. Interment will take place 10:30 AM Thursday, August 8, 2019 in Great Lakes National Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 11 AM-12 PM Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans, in John’s memory.
John was born in Erie, Pennsylvania on April 9, 1949, son of the late Mack and Clairbelle (Murdock) Kaufman. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1967-1971. John married Rebecca Rau on March 15, 1975. He retired from General Motors, where he worked for AC Spark Plug, Delphi and Delco, after 35 years of service. John enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and he will be greatly missed.
John is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca; daughter, Melissa (Ronald) Kaufman-Whisnant; 4 grandchildren, Tianna (Michael Durfee), Kyle, Victoria and Matthew; sister, Marge Mallon; special friends, Douglas (Kathy) Linton and Dave (Kay) Gibson; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Michael Kaufman and his brother, Howard Kaufman.
