All my family and friends called me "Faye." I was born in Flint, Michigan on October 25, 1938, daughter of the late Tom and Viola Edwards. I passed away on February 12, 2016. But don't be sad, I lived a full and complete life, filled with lots of joy, only a few heartaches and an abundance of blessings. In my early days at Flint Central High, I met and fell madly in love with a good looking man by the name of Charles Leonard Fiebernitz. We graduated together in 1956 and married on May 25, 1957 in Flint, Michigan. He passed away in November of 2006 and we are now reunited just in time for St. Valentine's Day. We attended and were active members of the First United Methodist Church of Durand. I retired from the Flint Schools system as a home school counselor.
Surviving my death are "My Three Sons" Charles and wife Angie Fiebernitz of Waynesville, N.C., Kevin and wife Mary Fiebernitz of Linden, Matthew and wife Kim Fiebernitz of Durand. My boys blessed dad and I with so many wonderful grandchildren. There's Michael Fiebernitz of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Angel Ramey of Mt. Airy, N.C., Christy and husband Chad Stanley of Nakina, N.C., Lindsey Ramey of Waynesville, N.C., Jeanette Fiebernitz of Boston, Mass., Philip Fiebernitz of Big Rapids, Mary-Kathryn Fiebernitz of East Lansing, Julia and husband Justin Miller of Durand, Charles (Chas) of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Emily Fiebernitz of Durand. I lived long enough to hug and kiss on three beautiful great-grandchildren: Chloe and Carlie Stanley of Nakina, N.C. and Kain Miller of Durand.
I am also survived by my darling sister Janet and husband Joe Peto of Davison; Patricia Edwards of Davison; sister-in-law Beverly Limmer of Flint; brother-in-laws Tyrus and Melvin Fiebernitz, both of Flint; so many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, especially Dan and Bev Macciomei of Flushing and Barb and Dave Klamert of Durand. I want to offer special thanks to all my "friends" at my church for every one of your prayers and to all my doctors and nurses for all their wonderful care and compassion as I defied the odds in my battle with pancreatic cancer.
So if you must shed a tear or two, make them happy tears. I am in the presence of our lord, reunited with "dad" and no longer suffering in pain.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, on November 21, 2006.
