MICHAELOU, Michael - Of Flint, age 52, died Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Hurley Medical Center.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Assumption Greek Orthodox Church, 2245 East Baldwin Road, Grand Blanc, Father Angelo Maggos officiating.
Visitation 2-8 p.m. Monday and 2-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
A Trisagion service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Michaelou will be at the church from 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the service.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Michael was born in Athens, Greece on April 30, 1965, the son of Antonios and Sevasti Michaelou and was a resident of Flint.
On October 19, 1992 he married Olivia Cortez in Flint.
He was a member of Assumption Greek Orthodox Church.
Mike was an avid trivia player and winner of CARS 108 and loved music from the 80’s.
Mr. Michaelou was employed by GM for the past 20 years.
Surviving are wife, Olivia Michaelou;
sons, Nicholas Michaelou and Matthew Michaelou;
sister, Kathy (Bruce) Walker;
nieces, Alexandra Kirby and Sevi Kirby;
parents, Anthony and Sevasti.
