Carl James Plashek, age 62 of Durand, passed away Friday, February 8, 2019 at his home. A memorial service to honor and celebrate his life will be held on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Watkins Brothers Funeral Homes, Durand Chapel, visitation will begin at 1:00 until the time of service.
Carl was born in Owosso, Michigan on June 29, 1956 to Frank and Frances (Fuller) Plashek. He graduated from Corunna High School in the class of 1974 and spent his working career in factory jobs. Carl was a free spirit and did things his way. He loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, and being in the water. He also loved classic cars, and trips on his Harley.
Carl is survived by his mother, Frances Plashek, his son, Christopher James (Stacey) Plashek, his daughter, Jennifer Susan (Matthew) Lightle, his grandchildren; Anastasia Lightle, Hazel, Tristian, and Oliver Plashek. His siblings; Patricia (Milan) Nechvil, Stephanie Plashek, and Lorraine Plashek.
He was preceded in death by his father Frank Plashek, and his sister, Diane Susan Plashek.
