Marilyn J. Main of National City, formerly of Swartz Creek, passed away May 27, 2014 at 70 years of age.
She was born November 22, 1943 in Flint, Michigan to Willard and Creda Peters. On October 21, 1961 she married Merwyn in Flint. Mrs. Main had been a school bus driver for the Swartz Creek schools for over 20 years. She was a foster parent for many years and enjoyed her home in Northern Michigan, winters in Florida and traveling.
She is survived by her husband Merwyn "Butch" Main, six children; Robin (Gene) Norman of Burton, Deana (Gelbert) Booth of Genesee, David (Tess) Main of Grand Blanc, Arthur (Cynthia) Main of Grand Blanc, Patrick (Michelle) Main of Bradenton, FL and John (Mary) Main of Vernon. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and siblings; Carolyn Sparks and Lonnie Tabit.
Private cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorial contributions to Tendercare of Tawas. Arrangements handled by the Hale Chapel of the Buresh Funeral Home. www.bureshfuneralhomes.
